Jay-Z Designs New Brooklyn Nets Logo

As part owner of the Nets, Jay-Z has taken it upon himself to handle a very important part of the team’s relocation from New Jersey to Brooklyn: the design of the squad’s new logo. The black-and-white logo, which keeps the team’s “shield” design intact but adds a “B” inside a tiny basketball, was unveiled on Monday (Apr. 30). Brett Yormark, the team’s CEO, has described the logo as “the new badge for Brooklyn.” Shirts and other Brooklyn Nets apparel also went on sale today, while official jerseys will be available in September.
